Services: Training

What could be more vital to a company's long-term health than the choice and cultivation of its future leaders?

The quality of our business leaders has been thrust into the public's collective awareness more than at any other time in history -- -- as has our growing concern about the skills, abilities, and commitment of those who will lead us in the future as retirements of baby-boomers increase. In a survey of 100 representatives of Global Fortune 500 companies by Executive Development Associates, the overwhelming majority indicated that their lack of depth in leadership talent was a major barrier to future growth.

Now may be the time to provide specific in-house training to selected groups of current and emerging leaders. Topics are customized to meet the organizations need, as well as the ability to select numbers of sessions and delivery options. A most popular format includes 5 one-half day sessions delivered over a period of several months to allow participants the opportunity to practice new skills between sessions.

Managers and Teams:

Managing teams is often a major challenge for managers in any organization. Many managers are promoted from within without the opportunity to learn or develop the skills necessary to manage subordinates more effectively. Custom-designed training sessions can help groups of managers learn appropriate skills that contribute to increased productivity, retention, and more satisfied employees.

Working together with managers and their teams provides an opportunity to build more effective teams. Topics for team training often include assessments such as the Myers-Briggs or the DISC, to allow team members greater understanding of differences in individual style.

"Marcia is an excellent facilitator in training sessions. We've received extremely positive
feedback from attendees, indicating that in addition to being very knowledgeable, she has a
remarkable ability to connect with participants well on both a personal and professional level."
