Consulting Experience

Marcia is well known as an organizational consultant and an executive coach. Her expertise and broad organizational experience provide for the unique and challenging needs of top executives as well as individuals at all levels. Marcia has assisted numerous organizations to address the critical issues of leadership development as a component of succession planning and in response to changing societal, economic and leadership trends.

In consulting with client companies Marcia has designed and developed programs and services to support leadership development and organizational growth, in such areas as organizational culture, team building, employee recommitment, leading change initiatives, new executive assimilation, organizational politics, and other organizational solutions.

Business/Organizational Leadership Experience

After 16 years serving clients located throughout the Ohio, Kentucky, and Indiana region as Vice President of Consulting Services in the Dayton, OH office of Right Management, an international human resource consulting firm, Marcia left in 2007 to launch a solo practice. Prior to joining Right, Marcia's experience included roles as a liaison between economic development organizations and community education and training initiatives, designing training programs to meet the needs of international organizations in transition.

A few examples of Marcia's consulting engagements include the following:

  • Among many successful executive coaching engagements, coached a Director who was within months of termination. Comments from the client company: "Marcia has exceeded our expectations. Our Director has had a complete turn-around in her behavior and has learned tools to help her understand how to better communicate. Marcia's coaching made all the difference with this employee."
  • In response to a client's growing awareness of the absence of emerging leaders groomed to move into senior roles, conducted a predictive assessment of the skills and leadership potential of mid-level employees. Coached leaders at all levels regarding their strengths and development areas in order to assure individual career growth and increase the organization's bench strength.
  • Assessed the culture of a large service organization. Designed, coordinated and delivered a comprehensive management development training program and coached the Vice President in the skills necessary to lead the changing organization.


Marcia holds a BA from Loretto Heights College, Denver, Colorado; an M.F.A. from the University of Hawaii, Honolulu, Hawaii; and a Ph.D. from Michigan State University, East Lansing, Michigan. She is an experienced interpreter of numerous assessment instruments: the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator, the Human Synergistics' Life Styles Inventory and Organizational Culture Inventory, the FIRO-B, the H.R. Chally Group's assessment tool for both individual and organizational analysis, and a variety of 360° appraisal processes including the Center for Creative Leadership's BENCHMARKS®.
